For professional, stand-alone English lessons conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere then our highly popular General English Course is the perfect answer to your needs.
Study English with other subjects to make the most of your time in England, you have the option of studying on our English Plus Course. This is a combination of General English, ‘plus’ the opportunity to choose from a diverse range of exciting subjects, with something to suit all tastes. Courses include art, gardening, fashion, drama, history, screen-printing, photography, environmental studies, media, British culture and creative English.
It’s not all work! The school has a well equipped common room, computer room and sports hall. We make sure you have every opportunity to socialise with your fellow students. You’ll also get to know the teaching staff outside of the classroom environment. The Loxdale social calendar lasts throughout the year. Our varied programme of activities includes cultural excursions salsa lessons, games evenings, films, barbecues, sports activities, quizzes, cooking and much more. So let your hair down and have fun!
The school also has a well-equipped common room and a computer room for students to use in their free time.
Whilst always maintaining the highest academic standards, Loxdale courses are competitively priced and represent excellent value for money.
Loxdale English Centre is also a Swedish Folk High School. This means that adult students from Sweden are eligible to have their course fees financed through a government grant, effectively making the course free.

Since it was founded in 1968, the Loxdale English Centre has delivered over 7,000 educational programmes. Most of our language teachers have several years’ experience in the teaching of English as a foreign language. As a further guarantee of the quality, the school is accredited by the British Council for teaching English and a member of English UK.

We run classes from pre-intermediate to proficiency, designed for adults aged 16 and above of all nationalities, this lively and imaginative programme focuses on speaking, pronunciation and listening to help you communicate confidently and fluently in everyday English. Lessons are interactive and structured to allow maximum time to learn and practise new vocabulary, colloquial English, idioms and grammar.
At the end of the course you will receive an attractive certificate showing your level of achievement. Hang it on the wall. Show your family and friends. You’ve earned it!
